Questions regarding bottle cleaning

HELP! I cleaned labels from the bottles by using 1 cup of amonia to 5 gallons of water in an overnight soak. When I went to clean the bottles, I was left with a white powdery residu that I simply cannot get off the bottles. I soaked them in easy clean for three hours, and no good.

Anyone have any suggestions what this residu is and how do I get it off my bottles?

I have used white vinegar with good success removing that type of residue. YMMV.

White Vinegar......excellent......I will give that a try. I tried a strong bleach, and that did not work well. I got some of it off, but I will try the white vinegar tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
