Everyone has their own systems so I may seem weird or not who knows. I do small batches; 1.3 gallons in a little big mouth bubbler with a spigot and 1.5 gallon batches split into 2 1 gallon car boys. When I use the bubbler I simply bottle from it. If I use the car boys I siphon to a 1 gallon fermonster with a spigot and bottle from it, needing to siphon both since it won’t hold 1.5 gallons. This work for me and i usually have 2 batches going at a time. I never do a secondary.
my question: right now I have a Helles in the car boys. It will be siphoned in order to bottle and then after carbing I’ll “lager” the bottles in the fridge for 2-3 weeks or more. Would it be an issue or advisable to transfer to the bubbler when I get it emptied Saturday?? I would then be able to make sure both car boys are mixed together for uniformity. Will I have oxidation I’d it Stays in there a week?
