Does anyone know of a good resource to find out about oak barrel aging/souring/etc... from new and/or used barrels... i have been reading post after post and cant find two with the same information... hoping there is a book are detailed online resource i havent found yet...

Farmhouse Brewing Supply (Steelers77) has a thread for used barrels. He posts up as he gets them, so subscribe to it, or email him, and respond when informed that he has more either on hand or on the way.

MoreBeer has brand new ones in different sizes. You'll need to decide if you want to use brand new (less time for the first batch for aging) or ones that have already been used once.

Personally, I'm using cubes, spirals and now honeycomb cut wood for aging my batches. It's the toast level I want and I have better control over how much I add.
