I have kegged 3 batches so far and have used the set it and forget it method. I am trying setting it at 30 psi for 36 hours then I will knock it down to regular pressure. Should I "burp it" before I turn down the pressure or just turn down the pressure?

No, I don't. I usually put it on 30psi for a few days and give it a little rock 2 or 3 times a day then turn it down to serving pressure before it over carbs.

Yes, that's what I do. After 36 hours, pull the pressure relief valve and reset the pressure to 12 psi (or whatever your "set it and forget it" pressure is).

i pressurize and shake - 3 times @ 40 psi. then just let it sit, adjusting later. it helps seal the keg.
