Has anyone ever built a PVC tower tap? I have a few questions. Main question is will the faucet be still on the tower with it being a round object?

If you buy beer shanks made for the OD of your PVC column there shouldn't be any problem with the faucets rotating. The flange/escutcheon are designed to fit the diameter.

Cheers!

Does anyone know what drill bit size I would need to drill out the pvc pipe to install the faucet?

Ok I have some more questions. I finally have everything I need to start piecing tis tower together. Here is my current question. I cut of a good piece of the pvc tower to practice drilling the hole and make sure I do it right. Place I bouf=ght the faucet and shank from suggested 7/8" hold. That hole size drilled very smooth and nice however clearly too small. Thank god it was a practice piece so I have plenty of space to experiment. Went up to 1". MUCH more difficult to drill through the pvc. First one pretty much made it through but ripped up the hol pretty good. CLOSE to a perfect circle but not quite. I tried screwing in the faucet and it almost went in but ended up being lopsided an I could not get it all the way though. I tried 4-5 other holes and those were disasters. Drill would handle it well initially but about half way through it would just grab and eventually stop turning. I went back to the original hole and used a sabre saw and slice a little here and there out. Screwed faucet back in. Went in a tiny bit further but still lopsided. Then I realized even if it did go through I don't think it would show enough of the screw part to catch on to the shank to screw it on. again close but I don't think nearly enough. What might I be doing wrong and why won't the 1" bit finish drilling nicely? Any thoughts or ideas?
