I bought 2 corny kegs today and When i see them purge out the c02 they have a little ring they tug on mine does not have anything like that so how do i purge the co2?

I seem to remeber some mentioned that some (pinlokc i think) cornies came with lids with no pressure reliefe valves. You could purge by pressing down the gas in poppet.

I have an old coca cola pin lock keg that doesn't have a manual relief valve. It's got some sort if valve that looks like it'll blow if it gets to high.

I just press the gas in poppet with my fingernail or something. Make sure it's the gas in post!!!!!! Not speaking from experience or anything .............

This is the photo of my pin lock.

yep, ball point pen or tip of key to push in the center of the gas in post will vent it nicely, you don't have an abnormal keg, old pin locks frequently used that setup. if it bothers you, you can replace the lid with a more modern version that will include the vent, but it isn't at all necessary

My new (old) firestone keg has the same type of pressure relief mechanism. I was able to remove the mechanism from the bottom of the lid with a 1/4" ratchet. Is there any way to improve this piece of junk? Or even just replace it.. it looks like it's made by "Hansen"

Easiest way is to just buy an new (old) lid with the PRV you want. I know CHI Company sell them (or at least used to)
