Pt (pint?) measurement for wine recipes?

I keep seeing fruit wine recipes that give a water measurement in "p", "pt", "pts". Are these abbreviations for "pints"? If so, how many ounces are there in a pint? I know it's 16oz in the use for beer and 20(?) in Europe. Is this the same?

a) yes those are pints
b) to my knowledge fluid ounces are fluid ounces wherever you go.
c) 2 pints >> 1 quart, 4 quarts >> 1 Gallon, 1 Gallon >> 128 Ounces
