Flying into PVD tomorrow (Halloween) for a long weekend of colonial relic hunting and bottle digging...buddy is picking us up at airport at 6:30...

Any good beers on tap near the airport...will need something good after the long flight!

The airport is in Warwick RI not Providence. So that kind of throws a wrench into the gears a bit. If your friend doesn't mind driving into providence I would check out Trinity Brewhouse. But if you want to stay in Warwick you could check out Doherty's Ale House - 30 Jefferson Blvd, Warwick.

Folks from RI don't really like to drive that far and if it involves a bridge forget about it.

Second for Trinity. It's a pretty cool place, especially if you're hanging out down in the basement. It can get pretty crowded down there though.

To hell with the beer (I know blasphemy!) you need to go on a binge clam chowder hunt. That's what I do every time I'm there.

Check out Newport. Restaurant called The Black Pearl. Best Clam Chowder I've ever had. Also, if you're in Warwick/Providence, check out Fat Belly's. Their Clam Chowder is on point too, a little less traditional with the addition of Bacon but damn is it good. They're also a certified Pint Pouring establishment by Guinness, which isn't a big deal, but it's fun.

I'll be there in 2 weeks and you can be damn sure I'll be gorging myself on Chowder.

Just across Route 1 (Post Road) from the airport is Kilvert Street. At the end of Kilvert Street is Track 84, probably your best bet.

+1 for track 84, deffinetly the best and closest to the airport. In pawtucket, which is the next city north of providence, there is dohertys tavern (east ave cafe for the locals) and they have about 100 plus beers on tap. Them and the muse tavern in Narragansett have the biggest and best beer selection in RI. I'm from pawtucket so I'm a bit biased, I frequent Dohertys monthly.
By the way dohertys in Warwick is owned by the same people. The pawtucket one was first and way better.

I'm gonna throw my hat into the Trinity ring...great brews there and the burger is ridiculous! Stop there every time I visit my sister up at JWU
