Protein Rest Question

With all the current hype about how protein rests are not needed, I thought should ask about one, for I have never done one yet with AG.

I am using 5lb of flaked wheat in a 5 gallon batch. Should a protein rest be done? For 30 minutes?
Should I use rice hulls during the process?

I hear that some of the flaked items like wheat can benefit from a protein rest, if they make up more than like 25% if I recall? its usually something like 10-20 protein, 40 ish for sacc rest. rice hulls def help w/ the flaked grains, depends on your outflow device? braid? false bottom, etc? hulls will never hurt, though.
