What is the best way to connect a propane tank to a 1/2 steel female connection or a 1/2" barbed fitting? I will need to buy a tank, hose, and regulator I assume, but I am a bit fuzzy on how to connect it to the steel plumbing.

The hose I got from Regulator to the pipe had a 3/8" flared connector. I got a 1/2" to 3/8" fitting to join the two.
