Right now it's 8:46am on the east coast and Morebeer's deal of the day is for Promash for $18.95. Just a heads up!

Terminal cancer of the brain. His wife.

I would say that ProMash has seen it's time but, he still sells the software and people still get keys (albeit after much wait) so, maybe he is chipping away at new code and just waiting for the right time to release when he can focus his efforts on the project.

Maybe he's just a slob trying to make as much off his old code as possible with as little interaction as is feasible.

Who knows.

I still like it. I don't need updates. I put my own styles in, as well as hops, grains etc... It still does everything I want. Quick and easy. I have used the others on a trial basis, didn't like any of them.

Consider me a chump for buying it, but I MUCH preferred the layout and organization to beersmith. I'm sure in a month I'll buy something else.

You are a chump!

But not cause you bought ProMash. I love the layout and the flow of that system. It is a good system. Well designed, felxible, and infinitely scalable.

It is just antiquated and lacks any consistent support.

If my copy hadn;t gone all buggy on me and/or I could have gotten some support on the problems I'd have prolly stayed with it. But the dude had bigger, definitely more important, issues and I bailed for something that is current and supported.

I do actually hope that amidst all this downtime Sausolito Brewing has managed to develope a new look for ProMash while retaining much of its current brewing muscle.
