priming with honey

starting to keg my ipa tonite and i dont have primng sugar. but i have honey so i want to no how much to use and should i boil it or not

4.72 oz honey. no need to boil. just mix in water and heat to 170 for 15 minutes.

+1 on tipsy, just remember to mix very well in the water or you might get a compacted layer on the bottom. Had this prob with a 1 gallon batch once.

How much does that affect taste? Sounds like it would be a good idea, especially for holiday brews.

not much on light flavored honeys such as orange blossom or clover, but definitely for wildflower(sourwood honey). Adds a dry floral aroma to the beer.

You said you were going to "keg" your beer.

Why not just force carbonate it?
