I want to bottle 4-6 beers of a sweet stout I have going. I have lots of extra priming sugar.. I'm wondering if I can add a little to the bottles before filling to get them carbonated. Any suggestions on how or how much to use?

thanks!

It would be much easier to use carbonation tablets or drops from the LHBS. That way you can just drop 1-4 tablets in each bottle, depending upon desired carbonation. I use that for the remaining beer out of a batch that I keg.
If you add sugar direct to bottles measurement can be inconsistent and hard to measure down to a very small range needed for each bottle. You could also use a carbonation calculator online and scale down to 4-6 bottle volume, but will need to boil the sugar in a small amount of water to sanitize and distribute exactly.
You could get lucky with adding ? teaspoons per bottle, but could end up with bottle bombs/gushers or undercarbonated beer as well as infection.
