Priced stainless steel today

For 40 ft. of 2x2x1/8 at ALRO steel here in Columbus is 453.37. That's up about $75. from when I last quoted about a month and a half ago. They said it may go back down next month.
Anybody else notice that it seems that almost everything in this hobby has increased alot here lately? Burners, grain, Yeast, really have to shop around alot more now.

Metal prices hit rock bottom a few months ago. I don't see them going down dramatically. I priced stainless a month ago too. Made me go carbon steel. I got it for $75. Figured the cost savings buy other crap.

I couldn't agree more. Not sure why people use such overkill stock for their structures. My 1 x 1 x 1/8" tube rack on my truck has had over 1,500 lbs on it.

i just price 20" 2x2 14ga stainless (not polished) or $92 a stick. not bad i don't think. this was in delaware
