see if you have something to cover the top with to let the flame get to the sides more (like some bricks for a few minutes) once a pot gets on there, the paintis going to burn to the side more and possibly get your kettle a bit black :).

Looks good though! i remember the first time i lit my propane burner... it's an epic feeling
 
Too late.... It's already black but it's all good. And firing up the burner for the first time was an awesome experience. I didn't expect it to throw off as much heat as it did.

I brewed yesterday first time. Same burner, loved it. Only problem was I was outside and the flame went out twice, it was real windy!
