I've noticed there a number of users are from MI, so I was hoping to get the low down on good orchards to pick up some bulk cider from. I contacted 'Hill Brothers' yesterday on a tip from a friend, but I don't know them from Sally, and they don't start offering bulk orders till after Halloween. They said $3/gal, made to order. I emailed back with more questions, but that was last night, so haven't heard back yet.

Does anybody have any favorite sources around the area? It doesn't have to be right now, but I'd like to get in contact with some places to be prepared.

Vandermill in Spring Lake is great. All organic, unpasteurized and fresh. Call them before you show up as they only press on certain days. A 5 gallon fill right into my brew bucket (and a four pack of their hard cider) cost me $25 or so bucks.

Ditto on Vandermill. I live right down the road so I'll just leave my carboy with them if they are not pressing that day and they will call when its ready.

I was at O'Connors yesterday, they had a pre-order sheet for Vandermill bulk orders to be picked up the 28th. Said Vm was going to have a truck and you'd just fill your bucket in the lot out back. $4.50/gallon. Prepaid only. I live right by there, so seems too good to be true. Not as cheap as the hill Bros, but a month earlier. I'll probably end up doing both, maybe 10 gal each...

I was at Robinette's Cider Haus in GR recently. I didn't inquire about what it would cost to have them fill up a bucket or carboy, but their cider was selling around $7/gallon

VM will also do that a few times at Sicillianos during this time of year.
