Pot build for newbie

I ordered a 10 gallon aluminum pot and need to boil/oxidize it until it gets the brown coating correct? Also, I want to drill a hole for a ball valve and another (preferably a "T") for a sight glass and a thermometer. Anyone got any step by step in-depth directions on how to do this and also where to get the parts from preferably from a reputable individual. Thanks for your help, love the site.
