Hello so it’s been about 2 and a half months, and over a month in secondary and I’ve racked 2 times total, I notice on the first inch of my mead when slightly disturbed, this ghost like fluctuation, is this yeast or wax from back sweetening? (It was stabilized with k-sorbate, and also k-sulfite). Most of the time you can only see it under light, and it doesn’t appear to be solid, smell wise, it doesn’t smell bad, or taste bad but. Any thoughts help!

if you moved the carboy its normal to lift that, i dont see any possible infection, if its stabilized then you will notice the infection on smell or taste, but normally it doesnt smell bad it smell like gerenium or roses, i dont really recall but that its the effect of the sorbate on the infections
