Hi All,

I brewed a Belgian dubbel about two months ago, and am set to bottle it tomorrow. I happened to take a peek at it just now, and I see a few strange (but small) floating patches on top of what was otherwise a very clear beer. I took a gravity reading, and it's still the same, and the sample tasted fine. My concern is that if it's the beginning of an infection, I don't want bottle bombs. So, my question(s)
1. Ignore and bottle
2. Wait a week to see if it's really an infection, and if so dump?
3. Rack from under the top?
4. Something else?

Thanks!

Tough to get a pic through the glass carboy, but some small things floating on top.

Anyone else have any advice?

+1 on needing a picture. Also post the pic in the infection thread. It's a thread dedicated to diagnosing infections so there isn't 500 " is this infected "threads going. Not trying to be a d-bag, just helping you out. You will get a quick answer there.

This photo the best I could do, looking down at the side of the carboy. Thanks all.

Looks like left over Krazen residue to me..If it tastes good Bottle it up..An infection would most likely keep lowing your FG..So test it one more time and if It hasn't changed Id say your good to go...I had one that turned a batch into vinegar ..It happens pretty fast so if you have clean tasting beer after a day or 3 you will be fine. AFWIW there was zero visual indication of any infection in my batch.
