Was it common then that they had glass rinsers? The one I am attending showed blue cube water tanks, which made me think of building the glass rinser. I'm just going to spritz the rinser with Starsan post rinse.
Yes, as I recall every single booth, tent, whatever had a rinser (or two). On the bar next to the taps so you couldn't get a look at how they were built. I would think a spritz or wipe with starsan between glasses would be sufficient.

Y'all must have way fancy shindigs to need glass rinsers. Everywhere I go is all about Solo cups...
The ones I attend usually have a branded sampling "glass" (sometimes plastic, but whatever). I've never attended one that had proper rinsing stations, though. Often, there are coolers filled with potable water that can be used for rinsing. At some, you have to buy your own bottled water.

And sometimes the breweries are so offended by your sampling glass that they rinse it out with beer before filling it. 🙁

I think they make 5 oz plastic cups.

But...are you implying that it'd be easier (or cheaper?) to manage ten thousand actual glasses at an event vs plastic cups?

That's what we did.

I built one years ago that's really only been used a few times for cookouts or small festivals. Mounts directly to the liquid side of a keg coupler which supports it. Can be pressurized with a hand pump as needed, or by CO2 via the same splitter hooked to the beer kegs. The shorter nipple is the drain which can be used to connect a short length of hose to direct the waste water onto the lawn or in a bucket if desired.
