im thinking about getting a portuguese style corker. I have some wine bottles that are skinny 750mls and was wondering what the max bottle length is for this corker. thanks

I have one of these and where the bottom of the bottle goes is adjustable. It will handle any size wine bottle you have. They are worth their weight in gold for anyone who makes wine.

That's true, and I love mine. They will handle any size bottle, but I wanted to mention that for the very short bottles (375 ml size), they don't quite reach. A hockey puck under the bottle works for bottling that size, though! I happen to have many pucks laying around, but if you're not a hockey player, maybe a book or something would work. A hockey puck is ideal, though, as it doesn't slip or move and it fits right on the corker's ridges. Plus they are cheap!

The Italian corker handles bottles a bit taller than the port corker.

okay, i have the standard bottles and then i have the skinnier bottles that are like an inch taller....

just talked to the shop and they said 14" is the highest it can go, figured id post this for reference..
