poppet valve

Hey guys...
I just got my first corney...took it all apart to clean it and now when I put the poppit back in the OUT post and screw the OUT post down, the poppit doesn't depress...any thoughts?

sounds like maybe you have the poppet in there a little off kilter and one of its little prongs is preventing the post from seating fully. sometimes they don't want to center up. Sound like a possibility, or do I misunderstand?

Just tried it again...seems as though it's going to work when it's not quite cranked down and the more I crank the post down, the less the poppit depresses. Wierd...then it is really hard to pop the poppit out of the post. Driving me nutz, cause everything looks fine!?!
