So i just came into about 25lbs worth of whole pomegranate and i got the idea to turn it into mead! i was wondering if the best way to incorporate it would be to just throw the seeds in whole or should i put them all in a big bowl and mash them first and dump the pulp into my fermenter?

Well I'd peel the skin, then freeze the seed bits. You could then either juice them by pressing or just use in some water and honey.

If they've been frozen you should need to crush or mash as that can damage the pips and introduce bitterness. ...

You could equally save some and then put them in secondary to improve the fruit flavour.......
