Thinking about trying a simple Pomagranite blueberry mead.
2 Gallon Batch
7 lbs Orange Blossom Honey
1 half gallon POM pomagranite Juice (no additives/preserv.)
Wyeast 4184 Sweet Mead
2 Oranges, washed, sliced, into carboy.
2 cups blueberrys, heated, cooled, added to carboy

let sit in primary for 2 months, kill yeast, backsweeten with aditional honey.

Thoughts? I am also thinking about seperating it into 2 parts after fermentation. carb and bottle half, kill and sweeten half.

This will be my first strike at mead, so any advice would be appreciated. I have pretty much just brewed beers so far!

Thanks,
-T

my first melomel was almost exactly like this, only I used some pineapple and only made one gallon.

it was a fluke, throw together at the last minute and it was DELICIOUS. good luck!

the pomegranate with the blueberry made it end up tasting just like concord grapes.
