COTR= clean out the refrigerator
Hopefully this coming weekend I’ll be brewing a IPL. I was at lhbs and bought two oz of Nelson Sauvin hops even though I have a crapload that I need to use up.
Here’s the hops I have on hand
-centennial (at least 4 oz of cones)
-mt hood (about a lb of cones-picked from neighbor so don’t know aa)
-Citra (at least 10 oz of cones)
-Saaz (4 oz of cones)
-Nelson Sauvin (2 oz pellets)
I’m going for an international pale lager.
Simple grain bill- something like this- 9lb pils malt, 6 oz C-10, 8 oz biscuit malt
It’s been years but I really liked New Belgium’s Shift lager. I’ve never used NS so I want to give it a shot for this batch but I’ve read they are best paired with other hops.
Any ideas for the hop bill using the above hops? Something balance and not a hop bomb.
Something along the lines of this beer.
