Please help me! What is this?

Found this growing on top of my beer yesterday. It was not there the day before. There is no odor at all when I removed the cap and airlock except for good smelling beer. It is ready to be bottled and I am thinking about racking off about 3 to 4 gallons from the bottom and throw out the remaining amount. What do you guys and gals think?

This comes up all the time and the usual answer is to taste the beer. If it tastes good, just ignore the scum and rack as per usual. Often the scum adheres to the carboy wall and doesn't make it into the siphon. I've had several batches form a pellicle across the whole surface and I racked them into the keg with no problems at all.
