I just all grain brewed for the first time, and it seemed to go well. I pitched my yeast but have no discernible fermentation (it's been 6 days). My inclination is to transfer my wort to another bucket and removing any settlement and re pitch with some fresh yeast I just obtained, any advice or comments?

Yeah, don't trust the airlock to prove fermentation has happened. Look for a krausen ring inside the bucket and check the gravity. If the gravity hasn't dropped, it's possible your yeast was dead; try pitching another packet/pouch. There's no need to transfer to another bucket.

your bucket probably just has a leak so CO2 is escaping there instead of the airlock

current reading is 1018, approx 2.5% alcohol so something is happening, tastes ok also
