Plated washer in Mash Tun

I have had no luck finding stainless steel fender washers that fit around the nipple inside the mash tun.

Is it ok to use plated washers inside?

The set up inside is 2 rubber washers, a modified plated fender washer and a copper threaded female to slip on fitting
