My question is how long are trying good for? Assuming they are cleaned properly shouldn't you be able to get a few rounds out of them?

I was told I needed to get new ones every time I bottled my latest batch. Seemed like a possible sales technique to keep me coming back to my beer brew store. So, what do you guys say? Can I use these more than once? Thanks!

Are you referring to the rubbery orange/red gaskets on flip top (Grolsch style) bottles? Sure you can reuse those. Like 4 years or so. It helps to invert them each time you bottle, so the indentation can heal itself a bit.

If they're very stiff and hard, they may not seal too well. Find better ones.

Yes just those plastic things on the swing tops. It didn't make sense you would really have to replace those every time. Thanks.

When stored empty, just put the tops on but don't latch the bail. They'll heal up a bit.

I have some that are 10 years old, maybe longer. Seal fine. Now many things are not made anymore the way they used to.
