I decided to taste my pineapple trippel which I added pineapple juice to about two weeks ago. It tastes solventy and has a canned-corn-like after taste. I didn't notice any of these flavors before I added the juice. Will this kind of thing age out or is my beer ruined?

I didn't know it was a possibility! Maybe it was there all along, and somehow the pineapple juice allowed it to be noticeable?

I tasted the beer again, and I'm not sure what happened the first time tried it, but it tastes fine. I'm not noticing the canned corn taste anymore. :)

My wife is interested in a pineapple beer recipe. Big fruit beer fan. Would you care to post your recipe?

12.5# Belgian Pilsen
1.5# amber candi sugar

Mash 90 min, then add candi sugar at flameout.

Boil 60 min
1 oz Perle - 60 min
1 oz Saaz - 10 min

Ferment 2 weeks, then add 1 liter 100% pineapple juice. I would recommend using fresh pineapple juice. That's what I'm going to try next time.
