How many if any of you guys are using this style of keg (Coke) I have a chance to get a few at a good price. I am now just wanting to start getting into kegging.

from a size view there 3 or 4 inches shorter and about a inch wider diameter wich
i find convenient for my set up. my coke kegs have all been converted to ball lock,so i cant tell you anything about pin lock other than size.

I use pin locks. I have about 25 of them. My cooler holds 18, and then I have 2 in each beer fridge. The fittings cost a little more, but a friend of mine is a Coke dealer...:ban: ...and I get the hose and fittings and kegs free when I need them.

I have a few 3 gallon kegs that are pin locks. I like them better than ball lock actually.

The only thing that sucks about them is most of my kegs are ball lock, so I always have to change fittings on my beer lines.

I use pin locks... no problems reported here. Parts are available for them and its impossible to mix up beer and gas once you have your taps attached to the correct line.

You can also try to get away without using one at all. I was able to remove the posts from my first 3 kegs using just an open ended 13/16" wrench. I did get to a keg that was particularly stubborn and had to hack up a socket.
