Since I live so close to Jon's I thought I'd stop in for the Bullfrog event. Since I live so close to Jon's, I felt fine about turning around & going home when I saw people standing five deep in all directions from the bar with nobody moving.

It was packed but Ryan (Beeradelphia) did a great job of making sure to spread the wealth. He made sure people who hadn't ordered got pours before people tried to double dip.

Any idea when those kegs kicked? We showed up at 8 after my wife's bday dinner ran a little long and my friend couldn't believe the grrrZ was gone. I wasn't that surprised.

Couldn't believe Khyber kicked the mosaic promise by then though.

I believe right around 730. I definitely got one of the last pours.

Ehhh I wasn't that impressed with the Grrrz. Dat hand to mouth, though....

Also Cambridge had on a dry hopped Banhof Berliner weisse that has been the best beer so far and I can foresee it being best of the week.
Agreed. The bottled versions from the original releases were a lot better. Don't know if the difference between bottled and draft is the explanation, or if the new versions aren't as good.

How good are the two HF beers at Bru tomorrow? Not sure if I want to deal with a horrible crowd.

Can't speak about Conduct of Life, but Mary was a pedestrian pils, and I love the style. Hawthornes had Mary on as of last night and no one was there.

i had mary at #ecpf and loved it. perfect for the hot weather. although the next couple days are supposed to be cooler.

Conduct of Life didn't do it for me, although I seem to be in the minority.. I do enjoy Mary fwiw

Bodhi and Bodhi on cask last night were both quite delicious. And it was nice to hit the event 20 minutes late, with all the beers still available & breathing room.

I was planning on hitting The Cambridge tomorrow for some Goose Island, but I may not stay for a long time depending on the crown. The Columbus Brewing at Barcade just seems really appealing to check out after what I've heard about their beers.

They have both at Barcade. Now I'm wondering if I should just skip Cambridge and go straight to Barcade. Is there food at Barcade that isn't awful?

Eulogy tonight, Cambridge tomorrow?

My guess is if you aren't at Cambridge at 4 you aren't getting any Vanilla anyway.

Yeah that's sort of what I'm feeling. Although if they do it like their Kane event from last year, they'll do 5oz pours and it'll last a bit longer.

i remember Cambridge only letting a certain amount of people in the bar at once so even if you get there at 4, you aren't getting in the door before 5pm assuming theres a line.

Yeah they did like 10 people at a time with 10 minute gaps for each group. I got there an hour or so early last year and was the first one there though so it was great for me. I already decided not to bother though and I'm just going to hit up Barcade and then over to Jerry's for dinner with a friend and some Jolly Pumpkin. Just easier to get to for me from where I live.

I'm sitting in the corner with some mac and cheese and a gray hoodie. Who is you?

You got a name, friend, or should I just walk around screaming "yo talkbeer"
