Bought perlicks for the quality, just hooked one of them up to a keg this weekend and low and behold it leaks. Contacted Perlick today, first guy told me my serving pressure was too low, second guy told me to check the forward seal to make sure it seated correctly. I asked him what to do if checking the seal didn't result in the faucet leak to quit, he told me to call who ever I bought them from. Not what I was hopping to hear from such a high quality vendor.

I just bought two of them and they are both fine. The one thing I noticed that on both, the bonnet caps on top (the rounded screw cap on top of the faucet) were both loose. I just hand tightened both of them and the feel of the faucet action after that was much less loose feeling. Any chance that could be the culprit?

I'm serving at about 10 psi. I had a leaky 525 but so far so good with the 630.

I bought three of them, two are fine. This third one just doesn't feel right. I tightened the bonnet, loosened the bonnet, still leak. I haven't pulled the seal, so Ill do that tonight to see if there is anything obvious going on.

Man, that blows. Nothing like buying something new and expecting it to work well, and then having trouble. Let us know what happens, as I thought they worked out the leaking issues of the 525 with the 630.

Will do. Lexington huh, I lived in Cola for 12 years before moving to NC. Go COCKS. Well maybe next year.

When I received my 630's, I took both of them apart just to double check everything was good, including the forward seal, and then reassembled and installed. When I took them apart, I noticed that on one, the upper "ball" on the lever didn't enter the spout housing as deep as the other one. I removed it and re-installed and it got it to sit deeper. that allowed me to get the bearing cap to seat correctly.

These are not very complicated items, so I would bet that the issue can be limited to (1) the lever not being installed int he correct position (too shallow), (2) the bearing cap not tightened to flush, and/or (3) the forward sealing o-ring being defective. I would ask perlick to send me a new set of o-rings, take them apart, and reassemble with the new o-ring.

If there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I love my 630s. They are great, the pour is significantly better, and they seem to be more sanitary. I usually only pull one beer a day, if that, so during the week they sit unused for several days. I have had no sticking issues as I did with the standard issue faucets.
