Perlick 525SS order won't be shipped. What to get instead?

I'm rebuilding my kegerator as the current equipment is broken and hasn't been used in some time.

I decided to rebuild it right so I got all new lines, connections, faucet (Perlick 525SS) and a stainless shank elbow.

I just received an email regarding the Perlick 525SS that was on order (scheduled to be delivered later this week) and apparently due to a manufacturing defect the dealer can (will) not sell any until it is resolved.

I'm kegging my first homebrew tomorrow and I don't want to be waiting on the faucet once it's ready to be drank....

I really liked the design of the faucet, but I don't want to wait forever until the defect is addressed. my current faucet can (will) not be used.

Any suggestions on what to get? Should I just find a standard stainless faucet?

Either 425s or just use a picnic tap until the 525s can ship.

I'm in a similar boat, building a new keezer. My plan is to wait until the issue is resolved. I want the best for my new baby.

I'm not sure what manufacturing issues they're having. I'd say the 575's if you can find them. I love mine. But it's going to depend on where the problem is with the 525s. They are pretty similar.

I think the general consensus is that you should not go with a "standar" faucet, always go with the perlicks as they really never stick. I say go with a picnic tap for now and wait for the issue to be resolved.

I believe some have had issues with leaking. Im guessing the 575s are backordered too because I ordered my kegging stuff 3 weeks ago and they are just sending me standard faucets until they get them in

You can still get the 525ss's... I just got three last week. I don't think this is a widespread issue.

I think farmhouse brew has perlick 425's, as far as I know they don't have any problems.
