Hello all,

I know some have their reservations about Party Pigs. I don't have room for a real kegging setup and party pigs have treated me well. That being said.....

I recently joined a homebrew club. I was wondering if anyone had experience bottling from a party pig. The carbonation only has to last a few hours since i would try to bottle right before the meeting.

Thanks for any input....

Hmmm. I think most PP users use it in lieu of a bottle, not force carbing and then bottling beer from it. I mean isn't it not too much bigger that a 6 pack of beer.

The biggest issue to me would be oxydizing the beer by not having some sort of dispensing wand, like a bottling wand or something that would fit in the bottle and fill from the bottom up, forcing out the o2 with the co2 of the beer.

But since you say they are going to be consumed fairly quickly that may not be an issue for you.

If the beer is fully carbed it should hold the carb in another container at least until you open the bottle.

BTW, there are plenty pro pig threads on this forum, prolly as many pro threads as against on here...I think there are a few positive ones even in the similar threads box below.
