I have a pear tree that puts out a TON of fruit and was thinking about making a Pear Hard Cider this year. Anyone have a recipe and/or steps as to how I can do that? Never made anything but beer...

Basically you crush the pears into little pieces and then press them to get the juice out, add some KM for safety to keep bugs down, some nutrients if you want, your favorite yeast depending on the temp you can keep the must at, cooler considered better, dont chop up the seeds (like if you think putting them in a blender is a good idea, no) and dont boil anything. Even a little oak goes well with a pear cider, if you can get a few crab apples to adjust the acid and boost the tannins a bit so much the better. WVMJ
