PBW Wash question

Cleaned corny keg with PBW and rinsed a couple of times by filling keg half full of water and sloshing around. Would that be sufficient so as not to create off flavors from PBW?

use star-sans after it washes the white film away with any flavors and keeps it bug free at the same time

Too late for star San. Racked beer to keg already.

I do a hot water rinse followed by a StarSan rinse. The hot water clears the PBW out, the StarSan is for sanitizing. I didn’t realize that StarSan cut the PBW. I’ll still do the hot water rise because I reuse the StarSan and don’t want it mixed with PBW.

As far as taste you should be fine if you rinsed with hot water.

So you didn't sanitize your keg before filling with beer?

I always do three rinses after PBW. And yes, similar temp water. Then a rinse with Star-San.

I use Oxyclean, rinse well. I use the spray head on my sink for a few minutes. The sanitize with Starsan.

The OP will probably be OK not having Sanitized. The water should have washed out "bugs" and the alcohol content should inhibit any growth. At least if the beer doesn't last a year or longer.

But I suggest that sanitizing should be done.

PBW/One Step cleanser is a base. It can leave a slick hydroxide film like soap does. The Star San is acidic and will help neutralize and "cut" the organic junk the PBW might leave behind. Rinsing with water always helps.
