Party Star Mini Keg Advice

I got a party star set for christmas and I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me what the little red plugs near the bottom of each keg are for. They look like they're for cleaning and I've heard that these things are a little inconvenient to clean, so it would make sense. I just wanted to be sure before I put my next batch in. Any tips?

You mean the bottom spout for gravity pours?
