I'm a new member here but I've been brewing for almost two years. Every Ole Miss home game we throw a tailgate party at my house then we go to the game and meet back up after at my house. The house ran out of beer, home brewed or bought, I laughingly mentioned there's more but it's not bottled. After some good decisions we siphoned an expensive IPA out of the secondary into solo cups. There maybe 2 gallons left. Currently bottles are washing. The same people will be served this beer again in a few weeks.

Not sure if your looking for opinions or just sharing but my only concern, provided sanitary practices when siphoning, would be risk of oxidation due to the increased headspace. Assuming you're talking about a 5 gallon batch in normal Carboy/bucket fermenter.

Just sharing mainly. Sanitation was sketchy at best. Tasted fine going into the bottles other than a slight oxidation taste. Brewing it up again this weekend and installing a pad lock on the fermentation chamber.
