Dales Pale is Marris + Cascade/Centennial..

I would imagine either would work well.

Our last IPA was MO with Centennial for bittering, Centennial/Cascade for flavor and Cascade for aroma and dry hopping. Not exactly a SMASH beer but a classic combination. We now use Marris Otter for all our ales.

So my brew club is doing a 1000l MO mash in a month or so, for 20+ folks. We're all then to go off, do our boils make some beer, then meet up for the tasting... Some folks are taking 200l, I'm only taking 30l - it's all I can handle. With a target OG of 1.050-1.055, I was thinking of brewing an Amarillo SMASH APA. Since most of the guys are pros or semi-pro, I was thinking of doing something different and doing small hop additions (~5g) every 5 minutes (à la Dogfish Head) - Brewers Friend is calculating I should get to 38.5 IBU.

QUESTION: dry hop or not?

Looking to try my first smash w mo. Wanting Citra but if lhbs doesn’t have it may do cascade. Anyone have a recipe to share? Would be appreciated. Have beersmith but not experienced in building the recipe. Thx in advance.

Maris otter/mosaic SMaSH is my house ale.
11lb Maris otter
1/2 oz mosaic FWH
1/2oz mosaic @ 60 min
1 oz mosaic @ 15 min
1 oz mosaic @ 0 (170° hopstand)
WLP001 1pk with 2L starter
Mash 152°-153°F
Ferment 7 days @ 64°, 5-7 days @68°
Balanced water profile using EZ water (all distilled)
Very nice malt/hop balance.

I have also made this with Cascade and it was awesome.

Slightly OT, I'm doing a Golden Promise/Amarillo SMaSH tomorrow. Originally planned to brew this on New Year's Eve but woke up that morning with a terrible cold/flu. Temps are supposed to be in the low 80s tomorrow, a perfect day to brew.

Thanks VTX for reply. Hated to start new thread for question. Searches led me here.

I’ll roll with your recipe. Hoping for the best
