oxiclean in electric brew kettle

I'm wondering if there would be any harm using oxiclean on my electric stainless brew kettle.My main reason for using it would be just to get the crud off the 5500W curly element. Ive read oxiclean burns off the dried crud in a crusty carboy so that was my thinking
 
I think you'll be fine. I haven't had any issues. But I would use the Oxyclean Free. This way you won't have to worry about any fragrances or dyes.
