Overcarb

Right now I am force carbing my keg. I just want to know if I over carb it some how, all I need to do is release the pressure relief valve right?

yup give it a pull and release the air, you can give it a shake but beware giving your self a spray with beer foam when you release some more. Some let the beer warm up again and gradually release the pressure over a day and then chill down again.
