Got an outside kettle burner from my brother. I am in the middle of a brew session right now, and all I can say is what a difference. Not sure of the BTU rationg since it is old with no label, but it boils a full 4Gal pot in less than half the time of my stove.....ahhh.......so nice.

the price was right too. 1 case of homebrew Pale Ale, which is what I am brewing-I must pay my debts!!

I'd be surprised if is anything less than 55,000 BTU. That's your basic turkey boiler. There are a few 35,000 BTU units around, but not many. Speed is nice during the winter.

I'm waiting for a 60K ring burner to replace the 55K torch I have now.

I figure that it has to be at least that, as I had it on less than 50% throttle because my current brew pot is small. When full open, it sounds like a jet engine.
