Hi all I have the chance to buy a large tub of PBW 3.6 kg for £30 when a 454g tub for £15. But the best before date is august 2016.

So would this be worth buying or should I steer clear.

It is from a respectable seller so it will have been factory sealed.

Thanks jamie

I highly doubt that stuff ever goes bad. They probably have to put an expiration date on it because it's for the food industry.

I also highly doubt it goes bad... worst case is the active ingredients start to lose their potency, so you might have to use a bit more than the usual dose if you don't think its cleaning properly.

Possibly as it's meant for foodstuffs so they have to have a date by law. For that amount of pbw and the price a little extra won't be a bad thing.

On a side note it could be the packaging itself because if you but a bottle of water for example it has a sell by date and it's water

Thanks jamie

Small update on cleaner. I haven't used it for cleaning yet but I did use it on my nasty coffee stained flask and it looks brand new so that's a good sign I think anyway.
