I am BRAND new to wine-making (may continue with it, may not).

Working on an Island Mist kit. I'm at the clarification stage and thought I was ready to bottle. about a week or so ago, I noticed my 3-piece airlock was just about dry. odd, I thought. re-filled it and didn't think much about it until this evening when I noticed it was about dry again. thinking it might have a hairline crack in it, I changed it out to S-style airlock. it's still bubbling maybe once every minute-minute and a half.

I can say I probabaly didn't do a great job on de-gassing when I added the last juice package and K sorbate. that was about two weeks ago.

I have to wait until this out-gassing stops before bottling, don't I?

brewing is easier than wine-making!

thanks!

appreciate the reply.

haven't checked it since I noticed this last night.

originally it was 1.052, fermented down to 0.996. added extra juice (per directions) and it rose to 1.016, added K sorbate and waited for it to clarify.
