Hey everyone,
I started my first brew last weekend and now that its getting close to bottling time, I'm looking to get my ingredients for my next batch. Im looking to brew somthing similar to Guiness Extra Stout so it'll be fully conditioned for St. Pattys day. If anyone has any good recipes or suggestions I am all ears. homebrewtalk is a great resource and from all the help I've gotten from reading old posts I'm sure I'll get plenty of great advice from you more experienced guys, so thanks in advance.

I found a recipe on brewmasterswarehouse that seems good, any comments on this particular recipe?

Munton's Extra Light Dry Extract 2 lbs, 8 oz

If you're looking for a dry (Guinness) stout I would lose the crystal and use US-05 or Nottingham yeast. An English style yeast just doesn't get crisp enough. Another option is to just use 13 ounces of roasted barley without any chocolate if you want to get closer to a Guinness.
