You can't be that surprised that people are larfing at bad deals here. It's presumed by the thread title.

The problem with all these bad trades is that it makes beers impossible to get or to trade at fair value for every other person. These trades don't affect just the people in an individual trade. Not with how public these trades are. I don't trade and I'm just here to larf but I can understand why these trades are bothersome to those that do.

And Ive made maybe $20 from running it. Doesn't come close to breaking even on hosting costs.

Please reread what I wrote. I made no mention of you selling beer or making money only defending your "legacy".You're legacy isn't from selling beer (that I know of) it's from establishing the newmoney go-to site to determine what a beer is worth despite it's almost 0 correlation to actual trade value. You're helping to turn what was a fun hobby into a commodity for profitizing fuckwads.

Cool that you have to go back to November to find this stuff though. I've sold maybe a couple of bottles that aren't BCBS, some of which weren't even mine.

Forget about all the gross flabby idiots in Shower Beer Drinkers and similar groups, there's a ******* group out there that, to the best I can tell, is about posting beer selfies while taking a ****.

You could always consider a monthly publication subscription, like create a nice glossy beer version of Beckett for all of the users to buy. Get like a photo of someone painting a portrait of a bottle of Blauw while sipping on a decanted Zenne, and you could call that month edition "Now and Zen" and it would be framed and proudly displayed in the beer cellar closets of many.

Think of the endless possibilities.

Or you could try selling shirts or cool glassware with your site name on them, so like when people are at tastings with rare bottles and posting their photos online, other people will see them and be like "**** I wish I had that bottle, if there were only a place where I could see the exact true fair market value on what that bottle should cost if I were to buy it with money, oh **** look at that glass, I wonder what that site is for, it must be awesome because someone is drinking a Julius from it, oh look they have a magazine too, that's super cool."
