Basically, what happened was the guy bid on some loons, won, and ended up with an empty Cantillon box stuffed with newspapers. The bottles either got stolen along the way or the guy didn't bother sending them. Who knows.

Given the state of that box, I imagine they broke or something. Regardless, the dude who commented and said once thebox leaves a seller, they are done is so full of ****. If I buy something, it better get to me in one piece or I'm sure as **** complaining and expecting a replacement.

If I were that seller I'd be laughing all the way to the bank. No buyer protection whatsoever and I definitely view those two sites as a shop at your own risk kind of thing.

That's gross though. I get what you are saying, but real money is being spent. The fact that it's not a big deal if a seller rips someone off is awful. It also proves that sending money as Friends and Family is a horrible idea.

So you're one of those "It ain't locked up, he must not want it" kinda guys. Nice.

Hope that serves as a reminder to not pay with family/friend option on PayPal. Buyer has 0 protection when doing so.

Alarms should be sounding if bro selling a bottle of chicago coconut water beer for $300 can't cover his 3% sales cost.

Who the hell wants 106 bottles of a single vintage of Tom Hardy's? I don't even think jedwards would go for that. The price he's asking isn't ridiculous at ~$30/bottle, but if he's only going to sell in bulk he probably needs to give a pretty significant discount. It might be worth someone's time to buy it and split it up to sell individually if it were like $2k.

That quantity of 93 is remarkable relative to the quantities of the other years. I kinda want to hear his story.

I don't want 4000 dollars worth of any one beer. ****** 'ell.

My favorite thing about this is that, if you look further back in the thread, there's this one ******* I quoted trying to sell a single bottle of 1995 Thomas Hardy's for $500, and is hyping it with "I don't know of any other bottles in the US and only a few in the UK!". Compared to that ****, this is a steal.

What complete and total horseshit. So much so that I'm virtually spitting blood. What absolute total lying sacks of ****. Just to put you into the picture, I recently bought a bottle each of 1975, 1980 and 1983 Thomas Hardy's Ale (all in tip top conditon btw) here in the UK & in total they cost no more than $80 including postage.

No one should buy from this secondary mark unless they know exactly what they are doing.
