well there was a guy that was asking for 4 Doubleganger with a few extra cans for MD b4 and the treehouse gang started to argue with him "you do know that it was only 4pp right? GOD WHY ARE YOU ASKING FOR OUR FULL ALLOTMENT"

That's probably what inspired this post

You're right, gotta capitalize. I still want to have fun with the guy.

As much as I love Treehouse the crowds and traders make it really unenjoyable. Good for them that they're doing well though, great beer and great people.

It's so weird seeing the shitlords online, but then you meet random people in real life at Tree House that are just normal dudes and wanna share the wealth.

Granted I'm sure that Kind a stuff happens all over the country.

I know I'm in the minority but I find them incredibly mediocre. I'd go to shelfies like Head Hunter or 2 Hearted over most of the beers I've had from them let alone going 40 mintues down the road to Brew Gentlemen. And those who know me know I'm the antithesis of a homer. They've let me down with a ~dozen different beers now so I'm more than done with them.

My experience mirror this exactly!

I disagree with you but I know where you're coming from. For me it's Lawson's, I think it's a one hit wonder (Double Sunshine) cause the rest of their stuff has been middle of the road IMO. I know most people think otherwise.

When Sip was still bottled, the quality was a lot higher imo. It tasted like a more potent Heady to me. Triple Sunshine was just too sweet as are basically every IPA over 9.5 or so but if you can get past that, it's very good for what it is. But Double is damn near perfect. I've had a few others of their over the years but can't really remember what they were.

I will say That's What She Said is fantastic though. I really enjoyed that one and I would actually go out of my way for it.

I think their batting average is a little low given the amount of attention they received for a long time, but I still think they make generally good, even if at times one-note, beer. I actually really love Super Session #2 and #8. I've also historically been a big fan of Double Sunshine on draft, but have not loved the bottles I've had the last few years. Peril, which has been their Anniversary IPA in the past used to be ******* awesome. Regular ass Fayston Stout is pretty good, and some of the barrel aged versions are a little sweet, buy still pretty outstanding. Knockout Blonde, Permagrin Rye Pale Ale.

I don't know. Lawson's is pretty good.

Time to get back on track.

Which is your preferred style of ****** offer? I'm even holding constant the beer being offered FT, for science.
Behind door #1 is the precise, but overshooting FT.
And behind door #2 is the has-zero-idea-gives-zero-*****-wants-whalez FT. Emphasizes the "FEW", and that he has reserve but really doesn't want to trade it.
Lots to like here.

I was one of the lucky FEW that got a ticket for the release. I have had the regular medianoche there so looking to get rid of one or both of those for a whale. I think to get rid of the reserve it might need to be a huge deal so let me know if you have anything interesting up for trade.

These are both great! Though I didn't know Fundamental Observation was a whale now. Guess I shouldn't have drank those. Am I doing this beer thing wrong?

No, I drank b2 of Fundamental Observation Saturday night and it has dropped off a bunch.

That's unless I am doing it wrong too!

Yes I'm from CO like the two traders but have no dog in this fight. I have none for trade, don't have any coming my way, I'm not looking for any and didn't try to get any when tickets were released Sunday. But the second trade has closed at least once locally (traded for FO). And although I think the first is an over reach, Maman has pre-traded at least twice already locally for Medianoche+Medianoche Reserve (that was before what seems like a low number of tickets sold. I have no clue on how many were sold but it sold out in seconds).

I bet these will trade high for a long time just like the Medianoche Vanilla and Coconut set ;)

The second trade wouldn't be bad if he had just posted "ISO: FO FT: Medianoche", it's all the "whales" talk that elevates it to totally lulz-worthy.
Completely agreed.
But he did, so here we are.
I actually quite enjoy his posts. It's the stream of consciousness, honesty that we're missing in beer these days.

The word "whale" has become devalued to the point of irrelevancy in the trading world. Blauw is a whale. M is a whale. Your once a year stout that's been released every year for the past 6 and doesn't trade particularly high is not a whale.

You been a release recently?

There's plenty of whales in beer.

It is all relative. There are those who think Blauw and M are getting rare but not really whales.
