Oh SeaWatchman look at that sick burn on you from Tome Roze! What a biting wit he possesses.

dontdrinkbeer did you see any of this go down?
I heard about it, when some people sat down and flipped their name cards over they had XXXX in the back where it usually indicated how many you could buy

Not naming names but I believe they provided josh Blum advance notice though

Any thoughts on the discussion of the legality behind it (denying sales to people who had purchased tickets)? No idea to what degree this ticket purchase is a contract and what aspects of it are legally enforceable or not. Also there was some kind of box you had to click when purchasing tickets about how you weren't reselling bottles, right?

The ticket was for a Food and Beer pairing dinner, that is what they received. The eventbrite page states "guests will have the opportunity to purchase up to a full case of FO", im not a lawyer but I dont think that means you have a "right" to purchase bottles. You are correct about the box that was there but you had to leave it unchecked since it said that you are not able to stop yourself from selling FO or something like that. If it was check you were refunded or payment would not be accepted.

The opportunity was not extended to some, a lawsuit seems like a lot of effort...but pretty easy to charge-back credit card charges in this case...IMHO.

How I read it, the word "opportunity" in the purchase would get them out of any legal obligation. Everyone had the opportunity to buy, but since certain people decided they would resell, BL could refuse to sell to them. At least that's how I interpret it.

Oh Jesus without getting into the dynamics of whether it was a material term or whether a unilateral modification of the sale constitutes a breach or whether Blum should have been able to thereby sue for his projected "damages" i.e. the loss of consortium from ******* his bottles gently on a pillow of secondary cash-

Ultimately they could refund the ticket cost and argue that the ability to purchase was a non negotiated aspect of consideration incidental to the event and then some fuckstick tries to argue promissory estoppel to the tune of his cost on ****** spirit airlines and a plauntiff's counsel laughs his ass off at the prospect of a 40% net on $950 worth of aggrieved loss.

Why am I even in this thread wtf is hapn

You're making me feel like Kevin Hart right now.

I dont know what 3/4th of what you said means, but speaking of Blum I did hear him apologizing to Lindsay about whatever the situation was and pouring his heart out trying to get her to allow him to buy beer.

What's up with the post of JF Vonck? I don't get it.

For some reason, the Philly stoner fuckhead crew ("Pweencess", Tome, and co) seem to think that it needles SeaWatchman and others that they've had that beer and a few other rare Cantillons because one guy is able to waste his parents' money buying rare bottles. I seem to recall Tome called a bunch us of "plebs" in one thread on there, possibly the one where he posted a ****** review of AB Zhukov and someone replied by screenshotting his Untappd check-in of Crime of Passion (he gave it a good review). His response was that it was an unreleased version of it (rather than the Korean nail salon mixed with diesel fuel bottle that Bullfrog sold to the public), then he started dumping a bunch of walezbro pics.

I want to be internet neckbeard famous like these guys!

Just well liked on this POS forum.

That's my personal review, FYI. pgh_penguins graciously gifted a bottle to me for a bad beer tasting. It was the first truly awful beer of the day and a high(low?)light, but wasn't as bad as Bully Guppy or Roble Blanco. Maybe at a similar level to Dark Horse Lambeak Wants Blood Orange and Aigre Plead the 5th.

That was a really nasty day.
